I'm grateful to be working here at the LUGE among so many bright colleagues with brilliant ideas. I work with a number of folks here to explore tradeoffs in farm management practices, develop science communications, and spend time thinking about assuring quality in evidence syntheses. In the future, I'd like to continue thinking about how these pieces can come together to create meaningful changes towards just, inclusive, resilient, and ethical food systems.
I have a B.Sc. from UBC in Global Resource Systems, where I focused on sustainable agriculture. I feel fortunate to have also had the pleasure of pursuing coursework that accommodates the interconnections I see between some of our complex agri-food challenges, dabbling in some food and resource economics, agricultural development, Indigenous knowledges, and practical experience in farming both abroad and at home.
Outside of my work here, I can be found playing bass and fiddle, swimming in the ocean, and plotting new adventures. At heart, I'm an optimist, a camp counsellor, and a recovering theatre kid.
